Monique Charlesworth
Monique Charlesworth was born in Britain but her work has a European bias. Fluent in French and German, she has written four acclaimed novels including The Children’s War, which was inspired by her mother’s wartime experiences. Her 2023 memoir, Mother Country: A Story of Love and Lies explores her mother’s life-long denial of her German and Jewish background.
